What Does Membership Mean?

Membership in a church is not like membership in a social club or other organizations. Most organization members are consumers; the organization exists to serve them. The Church of Christ is a completely different community. Membership means ministry and service, going from being a consumer to becoming a provider of God's love and care to others. At Trinity, we take seriously that we are a church not for ourselves, but for others.

While we welcome you as a friend in worship and as a partner in our ministries, we encourage all those who call Trinity their church home to become official members. New member classes are held periodically over a six-week period, culminating in a public reception into membership. Contact the pastor for details, dates and times.

To be a member of a parish church is to make a public statement of faith and a commitment to live according to God's Word and to support the work of the congregation. We welcome you to try Trinity and see if membership is for you.
