Trinity Church is well known for its services to poor and homeless persons. For many years it has provided emergency food for homeless men and for neighborhood families who have run out of funds. Your donations of packaged food, men's underwear and socks or cash donations are welcome, indeed!

At our Parish House, members and other volunteers daily serve hot food, socks and underwear to the homeless from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays, as well as providing a food pantry where families can receive a bag of groceries, clothing, personal items or a helping hand to carry them through their crisis.

Trinity is a full partner in Peter and Paul Community Services, a joint ministry with St. Vincent and S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic churches. This agency helps homeless men through a year-round emergency shelter and transitional housing, as well as residential care for the homeless mentally ill. Trinity members help once a month to serve a hot evening dinner at a nearby location to the elderly, homeless and low-income people in our neighborhood.

Trinity was a founding partner in the Good Samaritan Service Center for the Homeless, now merged in a new ministry called Humanitri. Trinity is supportive of the Community Re-Entry Program for Ex-Offenders, which meets weekly at the Parish House, and is also a member of the Near South side Employment Coalition. One of Trinity's pastors has served as a member of the board of Doorways, Inc. providing supportive services to those living with H.I.V./A.I.D.S.

You are welcome to assist in any of these services to our community. Contact the church office (314-231-4092) for more details.
